Review: Kouga and Iga
were two ninja clans hated each other for over 400 years. Gennosuke of Kouga and Oboro of Iga, loved each other deeply and, therefore, promised to break the ties that bound them. However, they were destined to kill each other. This happened in the era
Keicho (1614 AD) when Ieyasu, who was then 73, decided it was time to choose his successor. Ieyasu Takechiyo torn between his brother, who was older but stupid, and his brother Kunichiyo, younger but intelligent. To solve this dilemma, Ieyasu decided to confront the Kouga and Iga clans in a struggle. Both clans would choose their top ten ninjas. If that Kouga is victorious, Kunichiyo be the new Shogun. Otherwise, the Shogun would Takechiyo.
The two clans had enjoyed several years of peace since Hattori Hanzo forced to reach a truce. Now, the battle between Kouga and Iga is about to begin, and designated the twenty ninjas will fall one after another. Who will emerge victorious? Who will survive? What will happen to Gennosuke and Oboro, separated by the battle?
